Regular group meeting

Every two weeks, we’ll have an online meeting. Each mentor will give a brief summary of his or her institution and university. Each meeting will last between 1 and 1.5 hours. You can also form a support group with teammates who share similar goals. During the presentation, we may discuss the following subjects.

Experienced Researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. Skilled in Molecular Biology, Research, Virology, Pharmacology, and Cancer Biology. Strong research professional with a Master’s Degree focused on Developmental Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Genetic Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.

Cindy Wei 魏子婷

PhD candidate, Max Delbrück Center, Germany

A passionate data scientist and biologist aiming to eliminate cancer. Experiences in:
1. Biomedical Omics data analysis including bulk WGS, WES, RNAseq, ATACseq, and single-cell CITEseq data on HPC using shell script, Python, and R
2. Data visualisation, and statistical/machine learning application
3. Project management of national grants, publically-funded projects, startup events, and international symposiums

Timothy Chan 陳恩浩

PhD candidate, Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics, Germany

長庚大學生物醫學系畢業,大學時期曾創立該校的國際合成生物學競賽 (iGEM)團隊。Investigator Taiwan 社群策劃部顧問,業餘寫寫科普文章及背包旅行。目前座標德國黑森林。

Yi-Chen Ethan Lin 林易辰

PhD candidate, Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Germany

Current PhD researcher in flowering behaviour variation at the Max Planck Institute for Plant
Breeding Research in Germany. MSc in Molecular Biology from the International Max Planck
Research School at the University of Göttingen. BSc in Forestry and Resource Conservation at
National Taiwan University with a one-year exchange at the University of Copenhagen. Previous A-
level biology teacher at an international high school in Yichang, China. Former council member and
regional representative of the International Forestry Students’ Association, and Youth Goodwill
Ambassador at the Danish agency for university and internationalization.
